Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.” Matthew 19:14

The Nursery of First Baptist is provided during ALL church services from birth through three year olds. Be assured that the security and well being of your child is of utmost importance to our Nursery workers. You are welcome to request a tour of our facilities to ensure your little one will receive proper care.

Drop-Off Procedures- Parents/guardians should leave their child with the Nursery volunteer at the entry door. Parents/guardians should sign-in their child and receive a pager to allow the nursery to contact you if necessary.  Please retain the pager until pick-up.

Pick-up Procedures- Parents/guardians should pick-up their children immediately following the conclusion of the service. Considerate and prompt pick-ups are best for children. To avoid congestion in our nursery area, we ask that only the parent, with the pager, pick-up the child.

Sickness- The First Baptist Nursery strives to create a safe and healthy environment for all of our precious little ones.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept a child into the nursery if the child has….

  • a fever – we ask that every child be fever free for 24 hours prior to coming into the   nursery.
  • a runny nose in which the mucus is turning green, indicating an infection.
  • diarrhea.
  • vomiting within the last 24 hours.
  • pink eyes or eye discharge.
  • any signs of lice or nits.
  • any contagious disease.

Allergy Alert- Nursery children frequently receive a small snack. If your child has any food allergies, please notify us promptly.

Medication- Our Nursery Volunteers are not permitted to administer any type of medication to children.

Labeling- Please label all of your child’s personal items with their name.   Examples:  Diaper bag ● bottles● cups ● blankets ● jackets ● pacifiers

The Next Step- At age four, children will be able to enjoy our ministries that are specifically geared to their level, continuing to be taught by loving and trained workers. These opportunities include AWANA, Sunday School and Choir.
